Legal Secretary
Our Colmore Row Office is seeking an experienced Secretary to join our team.
The role of the Secretary is to provide effective support to our Office. You will be expected to provide a high level of accurate, confidential secretarial and administrative support to solicitors and other professional staff.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Providing full support to our Solicitors to enable them to operate efficiently.
- Creating and amending legal documents.
- Handle and manage telephone calls, visitors and enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Preparing correspondence using our case management system.
- Administering filing systems which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files.
- Preparing mail and enclosures for dispatch.
- Arranging the scanning and photocopying of paperwork.
- Carrying out other duties and responsibilities as required.
- Creating and amending legal documents.
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards and the firm’s policies in general.
About the Person:
To be a successful candidate for this role you must also have the following attributes, skills and experience:
- Have experience and knowledge of working within a Residential Conveyancing department.
- Demonstrate initiative and be able to undertake searches, ID checks and other work on files with dictation.
- Possess high levels of speed and accuracy and have good typing skills.
- Have a good telephone manner and be comfortable speaking with clients both on the telephone and in person.
- Be highly organised, methodical and adaptable.
