Making a Difference, One Day at a Time: Salma’s Day at Birmingham Children’s Hospital

Recently, I had the pleasure of spending the day volunteering with the Art Cart team at Birmingham Children’s Hospital— an incredibly rewarding and heartwarming experience.

As part of our firm’s continued commitment to supporting charitable initiatives, Davisons Law proudly provides funding support to the hospital’s Fundraising Office. Being able to see first-hand the positive impact these initiatives have on children and families made the experience even more meaningful.

During the visit, I spent time with the children doing a variety of creative activities including drawing, colouring, and making loom bands. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, creativity, and excitement throughout the day. Sometimes the smallest activities can make the biggest difference to a child spending time in hospital.

The Art Cart volunteering programme creates such a positive and uplifting environment for patients and their families, and it was genuinely inspiring to be part of it. The experience reminded me how important community support and charitable engagement truly are.

At Davisons we are always keen to support charitable events and initiatives that help the wider community. Giving back is something we value greatly, and opportunities like this reinforce why community involvement matters so much.

A huge thank you to everyone at Birmingham Children’s  for the amazing work they do every single day. I’m grateful to have been able to contribute, even in a small way, to such an incredible cause.
